"To Some, a Scarred Model Represents a Fresh Attack"
1/27/02

Sold at a Soho design botique for $95,
World Trade Center and Pentagon models,
frozen after the moment of impact,
before collapse, and without smoke and flames,
these ultra-stylized models, made of bronze,
like frozen baby shoes, sold out immediately.

Murray Moss, the store's co-owner:
"These were clearly created as object that
have a certain provocation...I look at them
as souvenirs in the old sense of the word --
to remember."
